On a computer, scroll up over the map to zoom in and down to zoom out - the map zooms toward wherever your cursor is, so point at the area you want first. Click and drag to move around. On a phone or tablet, pinch two fingers apart to zoom in and together to zoom out, and drag with one finger to move around. Tap a country to pick it out.
Yes. Tapping a country highlights it and puts its flag and name on the button at the bottom of the screen - "Confirm: 🇧🇷 Brazil", for example. Nothing is submitted until you press that button, so you can tap around the map as much as you like and only lock in your answer once the name is the one you meant.
Each of the five rounds is worth up to 1,000 points, for 5,000 a day. The correct country scores the full 1,000, a country bordering the answer scores at least 700, and anything else scores lower the farther your guess lands from the answer.
Today's puzzle is free for everyone, with no account needed - the same five rounds and the same scoring either way. Everyone gets two hints per game and one free bonus game. A free account adds two archive games a day.
